Update: About 30 neighbors and police officials broke into 5 working groups for two hours. City Council members Kozachik and Uhlich, and Asst. City Manager Quigley, provided support and encouragement. The groups include: Research, Tagger Supplies, Taggers, Courts and Prosecution and Tagging Targets. Each group will meet again, as needed, to gather information, hear from experts, and formulate recommendations. The large group will meet again, to review progress and determine action steps, on Saturday March 31 at 1:30 PM at Ward 6.

Great Resource: GraffitiHurts: Best Practices
You are invited to a Graffiti Action Forum on Saturday February 4, 2012 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at the City of Tucson Ward 6 Office near Speedway and Country Club.
The forum is to focus on tackling Tucson's graffiti problem from every angle. At the forum, our goal is to form committees to take on tasks such as researching City Codes in other jurisdictions, review what courts are doing, look at what kinds of successes other communities have had, how our local judges are handling offenders, getting support from local businesses, etc. Most of all, we want to move from talk to action. We'd love for you and your neighbors to participate.
