Pima Community College Library Computer Lab (LB 152)
1255 N. Stone Avenue

Want to change your community? Before you apply for a grant or update your area plan, it helps if you can describe your neighborhood as it is right now. It's also useful to be an informed stakeholder if your neighborhood is likely to be impacted by public improvement projects. Learn to identify assets and challenges the way the professionals do. Take an inventory of physical features (architectural styles, landscaping, lighting, parks).  Research current, accurate socio-economic variables (population density, average income or education level, crime statistics). In breakout activities in a computer lab and on the streets, each participant will have a hands-on opportunity to collect information on existing conditions, the foundation for change.

Note: Wear comfortable shoes for an hour-long walking tour of Barrio Blue Moon. Water and snacks will be provided, but food will not be permitted in the computer lab.

This workshop is free but registration is required and participation is limited to 25.

This is a PRO Neighborhoods Workshop

Please call (520) 882-5885 or fill out the registration form at least two days prior to the workshop to reserve your space!
