About the NSN Website
Written by Administrator

The Neighborhood Support Network website uses a content management system called Joomla! This software runs on an internet host (IX Hosting) and uses a domain (soaz.info) owned by Donald Ijams. The site originated in October 2007 and serves as an information hub for the Network and for Tucson area neighborhood leaders. Website template is courtesy of Joomlashack. The forum component is called Fireboard. Andy Stevens, of Colonia Del Valle NA, created the website icon (favicon).

Layout of the Website

The Registered User category (Login Form:) is intended for neighborhood leaders. This means that leaders can log in with a username and password each time they want full access to the website. Much of the website is available to anyone who views the site.

Behind the 'Registered User' curtain are a few items such as:

  1. Full member contact information
  2. Ability to post items on the web fourm, to edit their previous messages and to set up a forum profile
  3. Ability to vote on issues of interest to the NSN, and possibly
  4. Preliminary discussions of pros and cons on issues as an attempt to arrive at concensus.

Your comments on any aspect of the website are welcome (see Suggestions menu item - Add a Suggestion).

The Network is actively seeking both content for the website and volunteers willing to write up material of interest to neighborhood leaders.
